Test on the Great Belt Sea
Warning Systems has worked together with Sund og Bælt and tested SafeTrack® on Sprogø, as there will be roadwork in the period May 18th – May 31st, 2020. Our goal with the tests is to lower the pace of the motorists, as they pass by the roadwork. At places, which are prohibited by roadwork, there will be a speed limitation at 80 km/h.
Through the experience we got from our first tests at Bjæverskov, we have been able to optimize our equipment. This means that it is more capable of warning as many motorists as possible, which will be confirmed in the upcoming tests on the Great Belt Bridge (Storebæltsbroen).
The purpose of the tests on the Great Belt Bridge is to figure out, if it is possible to achieve a further decrease in the pace of passing motorists at places, which are prohibited by roadwork, through direct communication to the car radio, compared to the ordinary signage.
